Photoblog: Toronto Ice Storm

As we in London get into the depths of winter, rain pelting down and the days feeling like they will never get longer, I am reminded that winter could be worse. Over Christmas, we went back to Toronto and arrived on the same day as one of the worst ice-storms in Toronto's history. Many people were without power for more than a week, and temperatures plummeted to more than minus 10 (which seems not so bad in the wake of the polar vortex, but felt really cold at the time).

The ice-storm was both terrifying and beautiful, as only nature can be. A few photos ....
